Prefers dry, full sun areas in light sandy soil. Flowers last only a single day but occur in such profusion that this does not take away from the plant's astonishing beauty.

Suggested Use: Flower gardens, mixtures, open fields and meadows.
Miscellaneous: Does not transplant well. Blue Flax was discovered by Meriwether Lewis on the Lewis and Clark Expedition 1804 - 1806.
